Acupuncture
Acupuncture is probably the best known healing technique in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is based on the principle of "balancing the movement of energy" in the human body. Surprisingly, modern physics has confirmed many of the assumptions on which acupuncture is based, such as the observation that a tiny amount of stimulation applied to precisely defined points on the body's surface can have a major effect on regulating organs and bodily functions.
In addition to acting on the body, acupuncture can also affect emotional functions. The major conditions for which acupuncture is used at the Paracelsus Clinica al Ronc are pain relief, which is of course a well-known use for acupuncture, and also acute and chronic disorders of the sinuses and respiratory tract, relief from the withdrawal symptoms associated with giving up smoking, sleep problems and the harmonization of hormonal problems (associated with the menopause).
We use the classic form of Chinese acupuncture, with needles inserted into specific points on the arms, legs, head and trunk, and complement it at the Paracelsus Clinica al Ronc with newer techniques such as ear acupuncture, Korean hand acupuncture and laser acupuncture. The latter is particularly suitable for very sensitive patients and children.
